- Open Outlook.
- In Entourage select Tools from the menu bar and click on
Account Settings.

- Choose New..., Select Microsoft Exchange,
POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next.

- Check the box for Manually configure server settings or additional
server types and click Next.
- Choose Internet E-mail and click Next.
- Fill in the Name field with Your Name as you want it to appear
on your e-mails.

- Type in your E-mail address
(username@uidaho.edu).
- Select Imap from the Account Type menu.
- For the Incoming Mail Server, type: mail.uidaho.edu.
- For the Outgoing Mail Server, type: mail.uidaho.edu.
- For the User Name, enter only your username
(Everything before the @ symbol in your e-mail address).
- For the Password, type in your Novell/AD password.
- Click on the More
Settings . . . button.
- Make sure all the fields under the General tab are filled out correctly.
- Under the Outgoing Server tab, put a check mark
next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Choose the Advanced tab and set Use the
following type of encrypted connection: to SSL
for the Incoming Server and to TLS for the Outgoing Server.
- Change the "Outgoing server (SMTP):" port from 25 to
587

- Now you can select OK then press Next and
Finish to return to Outlook.
You may now check your mail by hitting the Send/Receive
button.
