| ITS
can not continue its support for Eudora once Exchange
is available. While POP access is still an option, it will not
include the calendaring system or directory information for
University of Idaho contacts, features you can get by using
Outlook or Outlook Web Access (OWA). In order to move to Outlook you will
have to move your messages back to our servers using the current IMAP system.
Here are the instructions for moving your
folders back:
- Select the Tools drop down menu in Eudora and click on
Options.

- Change the "Mail Server (Incoming):" setting to be "imap.uidaho.edu"

- Click on the Incoming Mail category on the left
hand side and change the Server Configuration: option
to be IMAP.
Then click OK to close the Options window.

- You will be asked to enter your Novell/AD password for the IMAP server.

- Once you have successfully logged in you will see your
local folders listed under Eudora in the folder list
to the left. List under the <Dominant> section are your
"VandalMail" folders. To create a new folder on the
VandalMail system right click on <Dominant> and select
New.

- The New Mailbox window will open and you can create a
new Mailbox on the VandalMail system (do not check "Make it
a folder").

- Once you have created folders under <Dominant> you may
drag and drop messages from your local folders to VandalMail. Once you have moved your folders and messages
back to our VandalMail servers you are ready to go ahead
with the Exchange migration.
