| These
instructions show how to install Symantec AntiVirus. You will
want to be connected to the internet when you are doing this
installation. WARNING: before you begin, remove any existing
AntiVirus software from your computer. To install Symantec
AntiVirus you will need to have purchased a license from the
Account
Management Site.
- Once the installation program has been downloaded,
double click on it. The installation is automated and will
run without any interaction.
- You may receive a message about your virus definitions
being out of date. Go ahead and click "Close" to continue.
- Once the installation is complete you will be prompted
to do a "liveupdate" of the Symantec software. This will
update your computer with the latest virus definitions.
- You may need to reboot your system after the
installation and liveupdate are complete.
