These are the general configuration settings for using POP services with VandalMail Live.  POP service allows you to download your e-mail from VandalMail Live into most major e-mail clients like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.

Incoming Server Settings

• POP Server: pop3.live.com
• Security: This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
• Port: Default SSL Port 995

Outgoing Server Settings

• SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
• Security: This server requires a secure connection (TLS/SSL)
• Port: Default TLS/SSL Port 587
• Authentication is required for the Outgoing Server

Note: configuring your e-mail client with the above settings does not remove your access to VandalMail Live through a web browser.  You may continue to access your e-mail through http://vandals.uidaho.edu/.
